Infineon and VinRobotics Join Forces to Accelerate Humanoid Robot Development

Jun 16,2026

Infineon Technologies AG has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VinRobotics, a Vietnamese intelligent robotics company established by Vingroup, Vietnam’s largest private conglomerate. Through this strategic collaboration, the two companies will work together to accelerate the development of next-generation humanoid robots. As part of the agreement, a joint competence center will be established at VinRobotics’ headquarters in Hanoi, serving as a dedicated hub for humanoid robotics research, development, and innovation.

The partnership combines VinRobotics’ expertise in robotics and artificial intelligence with Infineon’s extensive portfolio of semiconductor technologies. By leveraging Infineon’s leadership in microcontrollers, power management, sensors, connectivity, safety, and security solutions, the companies aim to create advanced robotic platforms capable of supporting a wide range of applications.

“As a leading semiconductor company and a trusted partner in the robotics industry, Infineon supports customers from concept development through mass production,” said Philipp von Schiersteadt, Chief Sales Officer for Computing, Consumer and Communication at Infineon. “Our technologies address critical requirements such as efficient power management, precise motion control, dexterity, robustness, and functional safety. Together with VinRobotics, we look forward to accelerating the development of humanoid robots for industrial, commercial, service, and household environments.”

Ngô Quốc Hùng, CEO of VinRobotics, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating that Infineon’s world-class semiconductor expertise and strong technology ecosystem will provide valuable opportunities for VinRobotics to enhance its technical capabilities. He noted that the joint center will allow engineers to explore emerging semiconductor technologies, gain access to Infineon’s expertise, and identify new areas of cooperation. As VinRobotics continues to build partnerships with global technology leaders, the company believes such collaborations will support the creation of advanced robotic solutions developed in Vietnam and eventually deployed in international markets.

The agreement further reinforces Infineon’s commitment to Southeast Asia, one of the world’s fastest-growing robotics markets. Rapid industrialization, expanding manufacturing activities, and an increasingly mature technology ecosystem are driving demand for advanced robotic systems across the region. These trends make Southeast Asia an attractive destination for robotics innovation and large-scale deployment, aligning with Infineon’s global partnership strategy.

Infineon offers a comprehensive portfolio of silicon (Si), silicon carbide (SiC), and gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor solutions designed to support all major functional blocks within humanoid robots. With an estimated semiconductor bill of materials of approximately $500 per robot, Infineon’s technologies enable machines to sense, process information, and operate safely. The company’s solutions cover environmental sensing, computing, motor control, power management, wired and wireless connectivity, functional safety, and cybersecurity, providing the foundation for the next generation of intelligent humanoid robots.
